Family reunification is an essential aspect of Canada's immigration. It plans to accept 103,500 new immigrants in 2022 thru the family sponsorship program.

If you are married, in a common-law or conjugal relationship with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you may become a permanent resident of Canada. You and your spouse need to apply. Once your spouse sponsorship application is approved, Canadian Immigration will access your application to become a permanent resident.

If you are the child of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident under 22 years of age, you may be eligible to come to Canada by being sponsored by your parent.

And last but not least, you may be able to live in Canada permanently if you have a Canadian or permanent resident grandchild eligible to sponsor you. Your child or grandchild will have to meet the financial requirements to qualify as a sponsor.

Family sponsorship is the best way to come to Canada if you have a family that can sponsor you and you are eligible to be sponsored. Unlike other programs, family sponsorship does not have a language, education, job offer and career experience requirements.

Canada intends to accept 110,500 new Canadians thru the Express Entry Program in 2022. There are a few different ways to immigrate to Canada thru express entry, depending on your education and qualifications.

The most common is thru the Federal Skilled Worker Program. To be eligible for this program, you must have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in the past five years in a skilled profession. You should also meet specific language and education requirements.

Applicants who are highly educated, have significant work experience in managerial or professional fields and are proficient in English and French usually do well in this category. Keep in mind that even if you meet the basic qualifications, those with the highest CRS are invited first to apply. And you are competing in a pool of applicants from all over the world.

Another way to qualify is through the Federal Skilled Trades Program. This program is for people with experience and training in specific skilled trades. There is no education requirement under this program, but you must meet the language requirements and have at least two years of full-time work experience in the past five years in a skilled trade. You must also have a full-time valid job offer or a qualification certificate in a skilled trade from a Canadian province or territory.

For people with Canadian experience, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an excellent program to apply for permanent residency. This program requires at least one year of full-time work experience in managerial, professional or skilled trade occupations. There is also no educational requirement under this program though you must meet specific language criteria.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a great way to apply for permanent resident (PR) to those who do not qualify for Express Entry. Having a nomination from the province will strengthen your PR application. Though the process and requirements vary from province to province, the most common requirements are job offers and language abilities. The most common PNP programs are students, business, skilled and semi-skilled workers. Canada will approve 81,500 new Canadian under this program.

The process usually starts with the applicant submitting an expression of interest. The province will then assess your application, and if you meet the requirements, they will nominate you. You must then submit a formal application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), who will make the final decision on your application.

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is for candidates who want to live permanently in Canada's Atlantic provinces, Nova Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Foundland & Labrador. The first and most obvious step is to secure a job within a Canadian company. Some work experience is more in demand than others, and the excellent place to start your job search is thru the government-run JobBank. Another way is thru licensed foreign worker recruiters. These recruiters are licensed by the Canadian province to help employers hire foreign workers. While searching for a job, keep in mind that Canada is a NO PLACEMENT FEE COUNTRY, and you should not pay to get a job in Canada.

Most companies or recruiters require at least two years of related work experience, Canadian equivalent post-secondary occupation and language requirements.
